    That dreaded sense of committment

Ever feel a sense of being committed to purchase more items from a specific line of action figures after you buy just one?

I don't feel this at all around lines like Star Wars because there are so darn many figures and practically infinite variations of main characters. But I just bought a 1/6 figure from a movie and want to get the other ones now.......

    Anyone feel the same way?

Great question. I have more than my share of lines that I felt the compulsion to "complete". Overtime and reduced space, I am learning to scale back and only pick the 'top of the litter' from each line. Example - I like the Neca Rocky line, but only pick the best representation of each character to depict them fighting. But for every line I pick through, I still have others where I feel the need to complete. The new Captain Action line is one. I get everything because I love them. Plus it's so cool that someone finally figured out that making figures that LOOK like the iconic artwork is a profitable idea. Biff Bang Pow's SMDM and BSG lines. I get all of them too. So there remain exceptions. But I feel like we are in a golden period for action figures. Honestly this is better than the 70's in many respects, because the licensing is so varied. People from our era are running these companies (big and small). We have a voice and it often get's heard. So I open my wallet when they deliver because I know when this is over, it's really over. I doubt in our lifetime we will see another resurgence like this again. It's unique to have the ear of people who can make your childhood dreams come true. Let's not waste it by being overly critical.

Yeah it's almost like a sickness or something. You look at the ones you have, and its like its not a complete set, I need them all. I NEED THEM ALL!!!!!!
