Glad you are taking care of this. Sorry it's going to set you back a bit, but at least it's winter and not the busy season.

A word of advice though. Take it easy on the Advil. I took them regularly for a couple years after my hip and it cause some serious stomach issues.

If you can substitute some Tylenol to reduce the amount you take, I highly recommend it.

Ouch, take it easy and hope all goes well. Sounds like you will have some customizing time.

I had a similar injury around 2006. I waited too long to get it fixed. the Dr. did a laproscopic proceedure and said take 3 days off from work. I did but I don't think it took because my commute into NYC involves lots of stairs entering and exiting the trains. Elevators were not an option in some areas. I haven't had a job with good medical since 2010 so whatever I have been living with it. It's not as bad as it was but it sure doesn't feel %100 like it did before.

Sounds rough. I wish you good luck with it.

But when you get to be an old man, get yourself a replica Wolfman cane at the very least!

Had surgery to repair two tears in my right knee 10 years ago. Three weeks later, I got hit by a car. If it weren't for my dumb luck, I wouldn't have any luck at all. I dealt with those tears for roughly six years. Booze helped alot, BTW. I may be looking at ACL surgery on the right knee eventually. May tell the doc to just fit me with bionics.
