At this time of the year, I can't resist posting this TOYS R US TV commercial again...It brings back fond memories of days gone by....ENJOY!

amazing how these things just take you back in time..for me it's the 80's ones..But I swear after watching it i was taken back to 1986 in the morning right before I had to go to school

*sniff* I know! I love this ad! I never went to a TRU until I was an adult, but I remember watching after-school cartoons on WNEW-Ch. 5 and seeing this commercial. It just stirs up those old-time Christmas-y feelings when you believed in Santa, your class was having a Christmas party tomorrow, you'd go shopping w/ Mom and see all the stores decorated w/ lights, and you thought you'd burst w/ anticipation! I love this commercial!

The ones that use to really get me were the ones where you could win the 2 minutes or something like that to fill up whatever you could crab into the shopping cart, I use to dream about winning that

My daughter loves to watch the Peanuts specials when they come on the TV, so she can watch them with the commercials. She says she likes seeing the show that way. It would be great if there was a night where the networks did retro commercials between some of the Xmas specials, just for fun. Also, they should still start the shows with this:

I know exactly what you mean about the Peanuts specials, I watched the Thanksgiving one last week when it was on ABC, and while it was cool seeing it on television it just wasn't the same for me without the old McDonalds and Dolly Madison commercials! Here's a clip that came from an old Betamax tape I donated to FuzzyMemories.TV for inclusion online, features the intro of the Thanksgiving special with the classic voice-over and partial commercial.
