Every year the Nat'l Champ has at least one game they have to survive. Just because Pitt took them to 3OT I wouldn't call them overrated. College OT is a FG kicking contest.

2010 - Auburn barely beat Miss State 17-14
2009 - Alabama beat Tennessee 12-10
2008 - Florida lost to Ole Miss 31-30

I'm not saying ND will definitely beat Bama or Georgia but to say they have no chance is just silly. They beat some pretty solid teams:

At Michgan State #10 at the time
Michigan currently #19 in the BCS
At Oklahoma currently #11 in the BCS
Stanford currently #8 in the BCS
At USC

As opposed to Bama beating Western Kentucky, Florida Atlantic, and Western Carolina...

I understand that everyone gets all creamy for the SEC but there are other teams that play football out there

There is SEC football...and there is everyone else. Sorry, that's reality in College Football these days and it will be until someone dethrones the SEC.

My dream bowl matchups:

Notre Dame vs. Alabama - Two reasons. First to prove they are for real or a pretender. The second to see coach Kelly get embarrassed on national TV.

Oregon vs. Georgia - Total offense vs. total defense. That's like putting a humidifier and a de-humidifier in a closet and let them battle it out.

Florida vs. Kansas State - I'm not overly familar with these teams but it seems like an even fight

Texas A&M vs. LSU - An unstable and overzealous coach vs. an unproven and overhyped QB.

Stanford vs. Florida State

Nebraska vs. South Carolina

Baylor vs. Indiana - I know my Hoosiers are not bowl eligible and should be division 2, but I'd like to see a team score 100 plus in a bowl game. Baylor could score 150.
