Anybody else like Benson ?

Been watching Benson on Antenna TV.

I forgot how much I used to love the show.

Had a weird thought .... when I was younger I would never never give Kraus a second look but today I think she's kinda hot

Yeah, I like it OK. It was better in the first couple of seasons.

Guillaume was a great straightman in Benson

Everybody in the show was wacky except for him and the girl.

It's an unusual premise to have the star of a comedy series play the straightman but in this case it worked.

I liked it as a kid, but I was probably too young to really get most of the jokes. Haven't seen it since.

Use to love it. I hated the nerdy guy with the glasses in the first season, but I loved Rene Auberjoinois when he joined the cast. He was just as snarky as Benson, and gave as good as he got. I vaguely remember an episode where it turned out that they were distantly related to each other, several generations back. It was too funny.

The guy who played the Governor was a hoot. I wondered how such an airhead could advance in government to such a degree, and not get booted out in an election. But then I realized, he wasn't as dumb as he seemed.

I watched it all the time as a kid, I remember enjoying it, but haven't seen it since it's initial airings. The funny thing is that I never saw the show it spun off of, Soap, until years later in reruns.

It's OK, nowhere near as awesome as SOAP though, which is one of my favorites. Benson was great on that show.

I used to watch Benson all the time. Back in the days before Deep Space Nine, I would take notice of Rene Auberjonius in movies and refer to him as "that Benson guy" since I didn't want to try to pronounce his name.

Good show although I liked soap better as well.
Benson was pretty funny though.

Benson was my favorite character on SOAP, and loved him on his own. For the longest whenever the phone would ring , i'd look at my sister and say " you want me to get that?"
