Hmm...looks interesting enough to maybe take the kid and get some cool pics with the Batmobile and such. Admission is reasonable, kids get in free, and it's right down the road from me. I went to College in Jersey City. The guest list is laughable though so I won't be tempted by any autographs.

After giving it some thought I think I will stay home. I'm not sure I have to drive and hour and a half and spend money on gas and admission to look at a bunch of over priced toys.
This might sound rude, but a lot of the vendors don't look like they sell much toys.
I would go if I were closer and had nothing else to do. Not alot of merchandise there interests me and I think I saw most of it at the Chiller Theatre Expo last month.
Looking for Mego Thor Helmet and Hammer.
Mego 12 inch Captain America shield

I ended up going today. It was smaller than I thought and they were charging $10 for photos with the um, Gotham City Street Mobile which was built on a 1979 Lincoln and was certainly no Futura. There was a guy there who worked with Rod Serling on Twilight Zone and I got to talking to him for a bit and he had some awesome insight to the show. That was worth the price of admission alone and I even ended up buying his book where he breaks down the writing process of individual episodes of TZ which seems pretty interesting so all in all it was a pretty good show. One interesting thing I noticed was that for a toy show there was almost no Star Wars merchandise to be found. I have no idea why that was but I actually found that quite refreshing to not have it in your face at every table.

I actually did find a lot of Mego items there. Lots of different figures from all walks of Mego but nothing that I picked up personally. There were some nice carded and boxed examples and lots of loose figures. One guy there was even a "restoration expert" that specialized in restoring vintage Barbie's Joe's and Mego figures. He was pretty cool to talk to and yes there was a ton of monster stuff too but that's not really my bag so I don't really go nuts for that stuff unless it's 8" vintage AHI/Lincon/Mego type figures. there was also a Captain Action Display stand showcasing and selling the new line of CA figures and lots and lots of art and artist there too. For the most part everything was priced reasonably too. The show started on Friday and a few of the dealers told me it was packed then and they moved a lot of stuff so I can only imagine what I missed out on.
