    National Toy Hall of Fame

Just saw an article on this year's finalists for inclusion into the National Toy Hall of Fame. This year it's Star Wars and Dominoes. This is the link to the article: http://usat.ly/SYsYuN

If you get a chance, the museum is fun to see. It's part of the National Museum of Play. Only problem for many is that it's in Rochester, NY, so you have to plan to see it. I grew up near there, so it works out for me. If you have kids, there's a lot for them to see and do, while you go geek out in the museum part.

Anyway, The Hall is good, and it has some terrific stuff. It even has a section on companies in the Hall of Fame, such as Marx. But Mego is missing for some reason. To me that's like baseball missing Pete Rose or something ridiculous.

I wonder if the recent Disney news pushed Star Wars figures to the forefront. The logical step between GI Joe (HOF '04) and Star Wars figures is obviously Mego. Perhaps some of the folks here can start a push for induction.
If I had only spent a tenth of the time studying Physics that I spent learning Star Wars and Baseball trivia, I would have won the Nobel Prize.
