WOW!!! And I thought the NY Mets were a mess...

Miami Marlins fans should be getting ready to take down the ballpark:

    http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/mlb-bi...8651--mlb.html

Spent all that money last year...and have already given up on their team. If they want to get rid of Stanton...I think the Mets may be looking for a new right fielder.

Their eyes can't hope to see
    The beauty that surrounds them

Why do all those deals with just one team? Get some prospects from all over the league and deal with several teams. They have self-imposed a ten year postseason ban with this move.
I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.

If anyone here believes in psychokinesis, please raise my hand.

Because not every team is looking to deal their prospects for high-priced players. If you can get one team to bite on your money dump it's the best deal to take. Same reason the Red Sox dumped everything on the desperate Dodgers. Right now the Jays are desperate to keep up with the Sox, Yankees, Rays, and now the Orioles. This trade could make them instant contenders so they were probably willing to part with exactly what Miami wanted. Can't blame Miami for dealing with one team rather than trying to piecemeal it out.

This owner is just an idiot...they've done this **** to us 3 times now..He was just trying to fool the fans once again last year and it didn't work..No one down here likes this freakin idiot and no one will waste their time showing up as long as he's the owner..He gave Hanley for close to nothing, Traded away one of the best players ever in Miguel Cabrera for nothing!!

Just because some us don't show up to games doesn't mean we're not fans, I watch the games at home and use to make the hour drive at least once a week to watch them..But enough is enough....He should sell the team or get the hell out of Miami

Hey Man..., The Super Sonics Were Stolen From Seattle if you wanna follow the real Story. That ****ing Owner from Day 1 Had Every Intention of Moving that Team to Oklahoma with Sale Bottom line it. All that crap about a New Basketball Arena was Straight up Bull****. It was really sad. But there are city plans to Build a New Arena for Both a Basketball and Hockey Team , so we will see.

As far as Seattle Baseball Goes, it's pretty Pathedic. The Mariners are more concerned about the Seattle Market, and Royalties given to the Team for profit making, rather than trying to build a Championship Caliber Team worthy of a Title, it has been stated here, .... I guess thats Why Seattle Has the Hawks.

could be worse, you could have a brand new stadium or arena and no team

Just like in the Sox/Dodgers deal. Boston would have gladly stayed with Adrian Gonzalez but in order to dump Crawford and Beckett they needed to give up something that LA wanted. The surprising thing is what the Dodgers gave back. They were some of their better prospects. This deal the same way. It's speculated that Toronto will resign Johnson to a long term deal (he only has 1 year left.). There weren't any teams that were going to take on those salaries without something in return. I just don't see what that was. Johnson and Buerle are questionable at best and Reyes, who is an excellent shortstop and leadoff, is no where near worth what they had to pick up. The Marlins did exactly what the Sox did. Gave up one decent piece to get rid of a lot of salary. There isn't really anything available this off season. So any desperate team is going to need to make a trade to get anything. I guess the Jays were really desperate. If this fails for them they will be ruined for 6 or 7 years. They'll never be able to get rid of Reyes or Buerle's salaries if they don't perform. This could be like throwing a drowning man an anchor.
