    1970's ABC cartoons on Thanksgiving

Anyone from the 70's era remember at Thanksgiving time when ABC would air new episodes of cartoons? I recall I liked it because the Saturday morning commercials were usually in reruns and this was a chance to see something new.

How about when they'd run sepcials in the afternoon (I guess to tnertain the kids and keep them out from underfoot in the kitchen). And not just "Mouse on the Mayflower" . . . I distiinctly remember an "Alice Through the Looking Glass" made-for-TV special, as well as a Bill Bixby-hosted magic special, circa "The Magician."

One memory I have is when ABC ran a marathon of cartoons and Krofft shows all day long. But it still didn't keep me from asking mom when dinner was gonna be ready!
"Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."

I don't remember the cartoons but Godzilla movies must have run on some channel on Thanksgiving because I associate them together to this day.
If I had only spent a tenth of the time studying Physics that I spent learning Star Wars and Baseball trivia, I would have won the Nobel Prize.
