That's really too bad. A company that was the cause of so many happy childhood memories is now the cause of so much strife.
"Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."
My kids school district doesn't even allow snak cakes in the lunches let alot snacks or parties. When you take the lunch desert out of it that eliminates alot of cakes bought. less bought means less needed. When tony Bordain did no reservations in clevelend they went to an abandoned Twinkie factory it was kind of sad. This is the real result of the presidential war on fat lost jobs
Sadly, the quality and price of Hostess' products have slowly been killing them for years. Their fruit pies were incredible in the 70's and 80's, but they kept getting more crust and less fruit.
Little Debbie stuff is cheaper, better and fresher.

As a fruit pie aficionado, I couldn't agree more. Hostess pies have definitely gone downhill. Krispy-Kreme actually makes rocking fruit pies. And Blue Bird pies are better too.
They are closing a bakery here in the Seattle area
They've been closing all of them little by little. The one off Aurora on SLU is the last one in the Seattle area. The ones in Tukwila and Central district are history.

We support local and there is a place called PIE that makes amazing fruit, and meat pies. They are tiny sized pies that fit on the palm of your hand but pack a flavorful punch. They recently opened one up in Seattle Center so if you visit the needle, make sure to stop by the Armory and hit up PIE.
