Even Tony Romo's action figure is disappointing

Check out what's on the toy store pegs. That's right. Tony Romo standing on the sideline after his latest hillarious interception that Troy Polamalu is running back just below. Cowboys fans deserve better...

I think Romo is doing what's known as the Teabow 2012 pose.

Romo is the updated Danny White , pretty good all year and chokes us out of the playoffs. We will never win a superbowl with him.

Nahh, Tebow would be warming the bench instead of standing.

Actually, Danny White was a better QB than Romo...and he was a Punter as well as a QB. I think Danny White also won a few more playoff games than Romo has. I was surprised that in the NFL Network Top 10 QB's of the 80's that Danny didn't rank. He was a better QB than McMahon, Dave Krieg, Bernie Kosar, and Joe Theisman....He just didn't win the big one:

I loved Danny White but sorry he wasn't better than Theismann or McMahon. They both won a SB. White didn't.

Having a Superbowl ring because your defense was the best in the NFL doesnt bail you out. Mcmahon was a terrible QB and Danny White would walk the dog on him. I do however, tire of hearing the anti-Romo speak. Need I remind folks of the line of crap Dallas had to go through to get a QB that could do ANYTHING? This is an undrafted free agent from a nothing college that made the best of what he had out there in Dallas. Hate to tell you, but looking at the footage, more than 50% of Romo's INTs are caused by his WRs not running the correct routes. Its like saying, if you send a package and the postman delivers it to the wrong house, you get the blame for it.
I understand, if you are into just watching highlights and listening to the sports media, how you could have a false impression of what really goes on in the games. Without Tony Romo, this Cowboys team would maybe win 4 games every year.
Its all fun to pick on the guy in the highest profile position in all of sports, but consider the team around him and how bad they really are before you throw him under the bus. Coaching and play calling, terrible. No Running game. Terrible o-line. Romo does EVERYTHING to try and put this team on his back thus sometimes forcing the issue and bad things can happen.

Actually, I would take Danny White over Romo every day of the week and twice on Sunday. White almost always got us to the playoffs. But his legacy was losing the NFC Championships, which while hurtful in more ways than I can talk about, still placed us in a prominent role to be competitive after Staubach left. And losing the big games were not always his fault either. Romo has remained this "nice guy with skills" who gets too much credit when he does something right and is defended entirely too much when he does something wrong. I don't care about his stats. This guy makes a living off the five yard dump pass, so his stats are going to reflect a high completion rate. But when it's gut check time, this guy folds. Whether he's a 'nice guy', a 'solid passer' or something else, the one thing he is NOT is a play maker in big games. And in today's game that is what you have to be to take the next step. Look at the Giants and Steelers? They have won multiple Super bowls this decade with scrappy teams. When you look at those seasons, they were not celebratory romps through the league. Quite the contrary. It usually took some one choking, like Dallas, to get them in the playoffs at all. But when the game mattered, those teams came together. Those QB's showed up and the highlights will be there forever showing the big plays by both Eli and Big Ben. The only highlights we get from Romo are bungled snaps, interceptions, and a guy walking off the field with his head hanging. He does not have what it takes to be a champion. He can't put game mistakes behind him, which all QB's make. You can see it. It weighs on him and so he makes more mistakes. It's time to move on with a new QB. I'm quite prepared to take some 3-13 seasons while he is groomed rather than suffer through the endless disappointments with Romo.
