IF the story is going to be "Heir To The Empire" then I can definitely see Harrison Ford back as Han Solo. It's not far fetched at all if all of the originals come back."When not too many people can see we're all the same
And because of all their tears,
Their eyes can't hope to see
The beauty that surrounds them
Isn't it a pity".

Up until now, he's only talked about SW as "a thing of the past", "I'm much more than Han Solo" and rather negative comments. He virtually sleepwalked through Jedi.
So you see, two decades without a decent movie will certainly change a man's mind...
You know, I'm going to stop speculating, because -for now- we know nothing, and I think Disney knows very little more except "It's going to be a Star Wars movie"..

I like the way the article says "Han, Luke, and Leia will play a heavy role in the trilogy."
That's a comment on their weight, isn't it?
I'm more curious who the writer is going to be. Hopefully someone who understands what makes Star Wars great better than Lucas did.Expectation is the death of discovery.Comment

And now I can return to the galaxy far, far away with a whole lot of anticipation and excitement!
Also to note. If they bring back the original trio plus Lando (don't forget Lando, please) I predict that new trilogy will become the highest grossing film of all time hands down. Disney will get their $4 Billion back in the span of one worldwide weekend. And that's just with Episode VII.Last edited by jimsmegos; Nov 6, '12, 11:42 AM.Comment

After reading some of the comments on the original post of this, I'm surprised more fans wouldn't want the original members to be present for a crossover movie. Make princess Leia the queen, her husband Han the leader of the army, and Luke the head of the Jedi. Even bring in Billy Dee for a cameo, as the president of cloud city then have it blown up. Introduce all of the new characters, and then have all of the original cast killed off. Great twist would be to make Leia the new Vader. Taking over her father's position. It's already been stated in the original movie that she has the Force. Let Han get killed and then let Leia go insane and kill Luke, while getting mamed and deformed, setting off a war between the Jedi and the new Republic. Show that Luke trained her and then she turns on him just like the Ben/Vader deal, repeat of history. From that point forward Leia's character could be anyone dressed up in a suit. There was a book where Leia and Han's kids have the force and as I remember that one was very popular. No Jar Jar that's the only thing. Unless he gets killed in the opening scene. That would be OK.It's not a doll it's an action figure.Comment

I've seen interviews with Ford where he laughingly (and honestly) admitted that he agreed to play Indy again for the truckload of money they backed up to his house, so I wouldn't think a SW role would be any differentComment

Let's be honest here. Has this guy made a good movie since The Fugitive? I don't think he's got a lot of drawing power left and certainly his celebrity status would be tweaked exponentially if he agrees to SW. I'm surprised they are considering using the original cast, but as long as George isn't completely in charge then it might be good.I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.
If anyone here believes in psychokinesis, please raise my hand.Comment
