"Last Christmas" is one of my favorite 80s X-Mas songsBut the Waitresses' "Christmas Wrapping" is my favorite of that era.

Walked into work today to Xmas muzak playing over the speakers. A client of the clinic and I were kind of flabbergasted as we rode the elevator up. I like Xmas music, but not for two months. I heard four versions of The Little Drummer Boy today and don't see my sanity holding out for the next eight weeks if this keeps up.
However I do remember the same thing happening two years ago and they quickly stopped the Xmas music until a more appropriate time. I'm sure offices all over the country will be calling in to ask them to wait a bit.Comment

I hate it when stores put their xmas displays out before Halloween.
I also hate xmas ads being on TV too soon... and when they keep running them again and again well into the new year.
And if I hear xmas music on the radio prematurely...

Christmas TV commercials on into the New Year is pretty annoying. I've seen some go on into Feb!Comment

I guess I should confess that I did stay at the Chritmas Place Inn while we were in Pigeon Forge, TN a few weeks back. Cindy's always wanted to stay there, and we rarely go down in the fall, so it was a good time to try it out. Great place, very festive. A little early for me, but I got over it and enjoyed it. The kids loved it. Their store there is quite large, but I think Bronner's appears to have it beat.

Now that sounds like fun. I think it's different going somewhere that's Christmas year round than just seeing it in a section of Walmart in late October. I've also been to North Pole, AK in July and I had no problem getting in the Chritmas spirit in the summer, especially when you're feeding Santa's reindeer.sigpic WANTED: Boxed, Carded and Kresge Carded WGSHComment

Last year we did a poll of favorite Christmas songs and many of my favorites were hated here including Wham's Last Christmas, Bruce's Santa Claus Is Coming To Town and Paul McCartney's Wonderful Christmastime. I'm sure my all time fav, The Waitresses Christmas Wrapping, will get no love either but if I were making a top 10 all time Christmas songs, Last Christmas would surely be on it. Maybe your all just getting it confused with the bad version of that song, the Jimmy Eat World cover, where they sing nothing but the chorus over and over for 5 minutes. Still I've always believed that right after Thanksgiving is the best time to start up the Christmas tunes and it is too early but anything is better than the Adam Sandler Thanksgiving song."Many Shubs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Sloar that day I can tell you."Comment
