    Question about international IBAN/SWIFT

I'm sure there are guys using this that can help me out?
My question is....How do you use it?
    In layman terms???
I've only ever used Paypal and am wanting some items from Germany and the guy only accepts this.
Is it just an international bank thingy?
I've nevr heard of it until now...
    Thanks in advance.

IBAN is the International Bank Account Number, it's what one needs to transfer money from one bank account directly to another.
SWIFT or BIC is the code from the bank, each bank has it's own code, you also need that code to complete the payment.
I can transfer money to the accounts of most European sellers (except the British since they still use pounds in stead of euros) from my own computer. You could have it done by your bank, but I'm pretty sure that's gonna cost you
