What part of London? The center of London doesn't really have Toy shops any more except "Hamleys"on Regent street near oxford circus...but they'll have very little. The only place I can think of that has anything like that is a small shop in Camden Market thats quite hard to find..its called "Physchdellic" or something like that and has nothing but old toys and books/mags/comics...noticed a bionic man model kit in there and a bionic woman costume on card as well as loads of other bits and bobs...the guy who owns it is very nice but its only open on thursdays, saturdays and sundays between 1pm and 4 pm...its very small and can get quite crowded in there. For newer stuff there is Forbidden Planet just off tottenham court rd along with gosh comics opposite the british museum and a small comic shop near to centerpoint at tottenham court rd (although the last 2 are mainly comics and have few toys). There are also 2 shops next to each other called "The Cinema Store" and "Orbital" which are close to Liecester square on St Martin's Lane.
If any of this is any good for you I'll give ya more details.

This is super!! I'm going to be staying at La Meridian in Piccadilly. I'll only really have monday afternoon and early thrusday to do anything, so it would have to be somewhat close. Thanks SO much!
Don't forget to get a photo of 4 Megos walking across Abbey Road ......
Oh, and also.....
Another cool London pic would be a Mego floating above Battersea Power Station
K your best and closest bets are "The Cinema Store" and "Orbital" which are right next to each other. If you go from your hotel past Piccadilly circus and through Leicester square you'll end up on Charing cross road...there should be an entrance to Leicester sq tube station to your left and another straight across the road from you..cross over and walk down the road opposite (Cranbourne street) till you reach a junction with 6 roads coming off it ...turn left (miss the first road) and go up Upper St Martin's Lane and about 150 yds up on the left the 2 shops are in an alcove where the pavement (sidewalk) widens. If you want to go to Forbidden Planet its only a couple of minutes walk further up...continue up Upper St Martin's Lane and across the small junction and up Monmouth street, go across the next junction that has a column in the middle and up Monmouth street to the very end and you'll see a zebra crossing on your extreme left that is right outside Forbidden Planet.
you proberly would see it better on a map but if not its a fairly straight walk.Hope this helps and enjoy your brief stay.

It's a shame you're not around later on in the month, there's a big toy show in Esher, just outside London. You always see some nice pieces there, though mainly diecast.
If you get a chance to stop by Rare's office tell them to hurry up on Perfect Dark Zero 2.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...
It was super short. However, I did make it to Orbital, Forbidden Planet and The Cinema Store. Cool places and had a nice evening walking around piccadilly and shopping at nerd stores. Of course, the problem is the crappy value of the USD. It makes everything 2x as expensive!! Thanks much for the leads I really, really appreciate it.
