Yes! It's our last night to celebrate.
If a Mego figure of God did not exist, it would be necessary for EMCE to invent him.

Well, I'm breaking out my old Evel Knievel costume from a few years back and marching w/ my pre-schoolers in their Halloween parade down Lakeshore Ave. this morning. Happy Halloween everyone!

I just looked out the window, and it's raining! I hope it lets up before the parade this morning. The kids will be so disappointed!

Had to get warm clothes to bundle up under our costumes for tonight. Cold, drizzly and windy in the forecast. We'll probably limit our usual trick-or-treating somewhat. We must end the Halloween season with a viewing of Disney's "Legend of Sleepy Hollow"!!!

Maybe I will get A trick-or-treater this year. One of the "perils" of living in the sticks is a sad, sad lack of little Halloween visitors.

90 kids this year, a new record despite it raining. My kids did five blocks.

With the cold and rain, we only did one block, and a few other family houses. But we got plenty of candy, and the kids had a blast.

In our area, it looked like overall crowd was down, and houses handing out candy definitely was. I think the unusually cold weather and rain was the reason.

We had a steady stream of kids, the most ever! . . . very reminiscent of the old days . . . . we're blessed to have a very participative neighborhood . . . . quite a few large productions set up in drive ways and garages . . . . I dress up as frankenstein (have the 4" boots) and hide just outside the approach to our door in a little alcove. As they come to the door I just stand there, some see me, others don't . . . as my wife answers the door and depending on the ages I then do my thing . . . . lots of fun!!

Sounds great Jim! I'd love to come over to your house.

Going around with the kids in the Bat-costume is always a kick. The mask and cape really work (my mom made me the cape back in college, and she figured out how make it look great billowing in the wind). I don't know how many kids said "Hi Batman", and a few asked me to talk like Batman, which I did. Gave hi-fives to other Batmen and various Avengers, etc. The awe-struck looks are a lot of fun. Andrew freaked a few little kids out as the Wolfman, unintentionally.

They rescheduled ours to next week due to the hurricane. I am very glad they did. Hopefully better weather next week. We are planning on going to our house we have for sale to see the neighborhood gang one last time. This is something I am going to miss with the new house.

I had a few kids come by this year...fewer than last year. It was raining, but not until maybe 8:15. I saw some kids right near my house, and none of them came over here. My house has decorations, but still they went down the block in the other direction. I passed out most of the goody bags (w/ toys in them), but I still have quite a few CDs left (spooky sounds). I guess I can give them away at school to the older kids.
