    my awesome weekend!

First, I know this is a touchy area so I'll just ask that you keep any negative personal beliefs out of the comments section. If the mods wanna pull it I understand. I just had to share my weekend . . . .

I took part in a Prison Ministry here in Texas. We went into a medium security unit down in Teague, Texas for 4 days. 42 men of differing creeds and colors, some believers, many who weren't sure and few absolute non-believers. All I can say is that it was one of the most fulfilling things that I have ever done and/or witnessed. To see a guy with Aryan Nation "tats" standing next to a former gang banger, hugging and enjoying each others company, with no malice, is a sight to behold.

Anyway, I had to share this with my online family, I hope it's received in the same spirit that it was delivered.

If you want a more detailed run down feel free to PM me . . . . had quite a few turn their lives over!

    Your friend
    -Jim

That is really cool, Jim. I can't think of any place that needs more positivity than prison. They are there for a reason, and maybe part of that reason is to learn a new way of life, of living. I personally see no reason to pull or modify this post at all. It's refreshing to read stuff like this. Sounds like you got as much out of it as the inmates.
I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.

If anyone here believes in psychokinesis, please raise my hand.

It's sad that it takes that sort of confinement for folks to see that the walls we raise are of our own creation. Outstanding, Bravo, and Attaboy! for going forth unto all the world and spreading the Good News pal!

Good for you Jim. Just knowing that it was such a positive experience for not only yourself, but the many people you were able to witness too is what it's all about. I am thrilled you had such success!

My parents ran a prison ministry for years in addition to an outreach program. I know the feeling your are talking about first-hand and it is wonderful. thanks for sharing.

Awesome Jim. I think a lot of good can be done by programs such as this, and you've witnessed it first hand. I applaud your efforts!
