Have you ever been happy that they bidded instead of using the buy it now?

Have any of you ever listed an item that you put a buy it now price and 2 minutes later someone bids and ruins the buy it now...and then it goes for a lot higher then your buy it now? Just curious cause it's happened to me a couple of times...That's why sometimes if I'm not sure I'll put a high buy it now and hope for the best..then I'll lower it as I go..

yeah, I've had it happen a couple of times although maybe not ending at 3x the price. I've also relisted items that had bidding wars the second time around but no bids the first time.
