    Poor Detroit Tigers...

...down 3-0...the Series is pretty much over, as no team in the history of Major League Baseball, has ever come back from that deficit.

Giants' bullpen is just too much for the Tigers.

I was pulling for Detroit cause I'm an American league guy. But dang the Giants have been as hot as any team has been in recent memory. Tonight was 6 straight wins. Reminds me of the Redsox pulling off 8 in a row beating the Yankees after being down 3-0 in that series, then sweeping the Cardinals. The pitching for the Giants has been tremendous.

Congrats to the 2012 World Series Champions San Francisco Giants....oh my bad the series isn't over yet. I meant to type...no that's exactly what I meant to type. I thought I'd rood for Detroit but I just found San Fran to be the more likable team just like I thought I'd root for Texas last year but found myself pulling for the Cards. On the down side, what promised to be an epic Post Season with all 4 ALDS games going 5, the two Wild Card Play In games, and the NLCS going 7 is gonna end very quietly with a typical World Series sweep. Sure we got a game 7 last year but before that the last one before that was in 2002 and most in-between have only gone 4 or 5. On the plus side, the one clunker of a series, The Yanks and Tigers, (which a lot of people enjoyed for other reasons) doesn't look so bad in hindsight since the Tigers are playing like the worst World Series team ever. Where was this Tigers team just 4 games ago? I'm pretty sure Washington and Baltimore are kicking themselves right now too cause either of those teams could have taken the Tigers. The last time a National League shut out an American League Team was back in 1919 when the Blacksox were actually getting paid to lose. The Tigers are trying and they're falling short with the defending Cy Young Winner, MVP, current Triple Crown Winner and sure to be this years MVP.

Also...if the series ended last night, who would the MVP be? THe Giants are doing this as a team effort and it's hard to pick one guy and I guess it would go to Romo cause he's the closer but if I had to pick the one guy that's made all the difference in the series, the MVP would be give to The Freak, Tim Lincecum. That guy has been lights' out out of the pen and he's gotten some big time outs and pitched some crucial innings. Romo can't shut the door if Lincecum doesn't pitch the way he does. Seriously that guy is a freak out of the pen and right now, the most deserving MVP of the series.

i'm a bit disappointed with the world series. i thought the tigers would put up more of a challenge! being from the bay area, i'm rooting for the giants, but i want some "torture" not just easy wins!! i think pablo will probably get the mvp.

I think the Tigers got overconfident because they beat the Yankees.

I think the 5 day layoff they had really hurt the Tigers and just killed the momentum they had from beating the Yankees.

Top closer vs triple crown winner for last at bat, what a way to close out the show.

Giants won seven straight games, they got hot at the right time.

Yep...offense wins games, pitching wins championships. Giants had the lowest Home Run total of any team in Baseball this year too.
