Top quality Juicer needed! Please recommend

Is anybody here currently into juicing? Due to more & more health issue I really need to try a new approach. Way back in the 90's I had the Juiceman, I stuck with it for a while but the cleaning of it was a pain in the arse and as time went by I gave up on it. I love to drink juices though from veggies to fruits. I'm hoping for something like can make shakes as well.

Some friends said try the Vitamix, others said just go with the Juiceman again ( Which I will not do ).

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you!

I have the Vitamix blender and the Omega HD350 juicer. The Vitamix is NOT a true juicer...it's a high-grade blender where you can make smoothies, sherbets, hots soups, peanut butter...and you can even make dough to make breads...oh...and Vitamix margaritas rules too, lol.

You can make certainly juice from a Vitamix, but it's not a true juicer.

I recommend is the Omega Vert 350 HD juicer...it's an awesome juicer. For one thing, it's super quite compare to other juicer. It mulches in a slow deliberate manner...not super loud nor messy like other juicers. It's self feeding too...you don't have to push down or anything.

I love the Vitamix for smoothies...as you can see in the pictures, I cut and freeze the fruits...man...you get true all natural fruit Slurpies, lol.

For the Omega juicer...I use fresh fruits and vegetables...I love making V8...it smokes that canned stuff left and right. You can mix anything you desire...it all tastes good. The Omega also juices greens much more effectively than other vertical juicers.

The Breville Elite juicer is the best seller...but compare that one to the Omega in the following video...notice how much louder, violent, and messier the Breville is...and how much quieter, cleaner, and cooler the Omega is...and check out how they juice...watch both juice tomatoes (at 12:20)...the Breville comes out all foamy brownish and separated...the Omega comes out super red and well blended...it just juices much better...

    Making smoothies with the Vitamix...

    Here's my set:

    Dude...do what I did...GET BOTH...the best of both worlds...

If you hate cleaning...you'll be much happier with the Vitamix...while it's not a true juicer (it's more of a smoothie-maker)...you can still make awesome nutritional drinks.

The Omega is like any other juicer...it requires some patience on cleaning.

Wow! That was a speedy response with solid info! Thanks Hector! After reading up and watching the videos I think I'm starting with the Vitamix even though you said its not a juicer. I love quality smoothies and with my diverticulitis this may be a smart buy.

Thanks! Send any cool recipes my way-lol

          You are welcome.

You will be extremely happy with a Vitamix...it has 2 horse power...it's like a mini lawnmower...very powerful...I mean...it turns raw peanuts into peanut butter. You can even make hot healthy soups with it. How cool is that?

I highly recommend you buy it straight from the Vitamix site...buy a reconditioned one (that's what I did), much cheaper priced...same five year warranty (with an option to extend it to eight years)...accompanied by a new cookbook package, new 64-ounce container shell, and new Tamper. Vitamix also offer a three payment plan...you can also return in before the month is up, no questions asked...they are a stand up company.

You won't find a cheaper priced one with this guarantee anywhere:

You can get it in your choice of color...I of course chose Darth Vader black, lol...

P.S. I love my Omega juicer (but it's limited, it's just for juices, that's it)...but I love my Vitamix blender more (sherberts, smoothies, ice cream, soups, peanut butter, mixed drinks, dough-maker, etc...)...it's just more practical, and probably the best thing of all...much easier to clean and maintain.

Yeah, it's not a true juicer because the Vitamix is a blender...it just blends everything in the same area.

A juicer like the Omega is a tool for separating juice from fruits, herbs, leafy greens and other types of vegetables from its pulp in a process called juicing. In separating the pulp, juicers concentrate the nutrition naturally present in fruits and vegetables and allows the body to more easily absorb the nutrition than digesting the solid produce. The use of juicers also makes it easier to consume more raw produce (I stole this paragraph from Wikipedia, lol).

You can certainly simulate this on the Vitamix...if you run the contents of the blender through a sieve...
