I don't consider the following upperclass or anything close to it...but it's an awesome sports bar with great pizza, great fried chicken, and great beer...Porky's Pizza Palace...

I'm kind of a "local pub and diner" guy by nature. All my favourite dishes are at independents.

The wife drags me to The Keg once a year, which I dig.

The kids think the world of Boston Pizza, not my favorite but I wash everything down in whatever domestic draft beer special they have.

Upperclass and "Chain" seldom go together. LOL

However of the "sit down" restaurants, I would go with:

Happy Joe's (Great environment, reminds me of my childhood)
Margarita's (not much of a chain, I think they have 4 restaraunts) Fantastic Mexican food.
Famous Daves (if you want BBQ, there is not a better place)
Red Lobster (If I am in the mood for seafood....)

I don't frequent chain restaurants much...the last time I went to one...I took my mother to Applebee's, lol.

On my birthday, I got a $50 gift card for Chilli's...that was back in April...still have not used it yet...

We typically frequent Texas Roadhouse and Red Robin the most. Will also eat at Chilis, Applebees and Logans. We don't have many independents.
