Ok, cartoon folks help me figure this one out.

I've been trying to remember an old cartoon.
It's the chuck jones era maybe ...woody woodpecker...early early stuff I guess.
It was slapstick style, like those two crows.

It was a little white guy...really short, really whimpy with a really big nose.
He wanted to learn how to box, so he ordered a phonograph lp kit to teach him...except the kit generally whooped his butt pretty good lol.

I seem to remember he eventually might have gotten into a ring match...maybe.

Seems his name could have been Peewee...but I've googled for months and finally at my whits end.

    Ring any bells?

hmmm......Im having a hard time finding a comprehensive list.

Hope someone knows exactly what it was because this would be quite daunting to find. I was ASSUMING it was Looney tunes but it could be from another studio.

Sounds like an early Elmer Fudd cartoon. Elmer had a different name back then. Different look too.

          Thanks guys.
I don't believe this was a Looney Tunes productions...it's more of a knock off
I know for certain it was not Elmer Fudd.
The little guy, who for some reason I swear his name was peewee, had a jet black bowl cut hairdo.
Since he was wimpy, he talked really whiney thru his nose I seem to remember.
He was very short, so when he put on the boxing gloves and trunks, they were very disporpotionate and big.
The boxing training kit he got might have had one of those mechanical arms that worked with the record player lp...and it generally got the better punch in most of the time lol.

I remember this character to. I'm looking on youtube a little.

I wonder if "Pee wee" was a re-accuring character?

Okay. From the description in the first post,it sounded like an Egghead aka Elmer Fudd cartoon. But now with the hair, it must be someone else.

YES we have found our answer.
                        egghead.
I knew it was a two syllable name, but peewee just made more sense.
I bet I sleep good tonite now that I can scratch this off my list lol.
                        Thanks!

Whew, Im glad you found it. I looked and looked. I was beginning to think maybe it was a terrytunes short somewhere.

This is one that was shown all the time on TBS back years ago.

No, his name was Egghead, and he was definitely part of the Warner Bros. stable.

There are a couple of different versions of him; with hair, and without.

He's definitely an ancestor of Elmer though.
