Rock of Ages ... Anyone ?

I haven't seen Rock of Ages the movie, but it has to be better than Prometheus. The hype had my expectations too high for Prometheus. It was just dull and boring and long. The first 5 minutes looked cool, but it just fell off the cliff after that for me. Just a mishmash of scific tropes done better elsewhere. So disappointing.

I liked the Rock of Ages traveling production that came through my area last fall. Not a classic by any means, not my favorite music, but definitely nostalgic and fun for me. I'll rent the movie at some point. That Hough girl is hot. She's makes renting the remake of Footloose worthwhile.

Prometheus was about the worse Idea to have Had about the Alien Franchise.
If the Movie, was Just it's own ....it might have been something.
But to even Consider that Crap as the Intro to Alien ....,
Makes Even George Lucas and Episode 1 Laugh it's Arse off.

I've had this disagreement recently with a friend of mine so I'm used to it. To me "Rock of Ages" was everything I thought it would be. I didn't go into it with an lofty expectations. I expected a sometimes campy, corny, cheesy good feeling sing-a-long type of movie and that's exactly what I got. As for the song choices/selection I eat that stuff up...I love 80s music and that genre in particular so it scored with me bigtime.

I respect that you liked Rock of Ages, perhaps I didn't get it, and I also respect you hating Prometheus. i personally loved it, but that's just my opinion, I have always enjoyed your posts, no harm done my good man.
