I am a self admitted Coke addict. People in the Mego Suite know to leave me at least two cans in the fridge for the morning. It's my coffee.

Never been a fan of Pepsi. I have always been able to tell the difference, even back in the Pepsi Challenge days. My final paper in Marketing in college was on the New Coke fiasco, and the Classic Coke/Coke II debacle. It still annoys me that Coke is still not the original formula because it has HFCS in it.

Mexican Coke uses pure cane sugar, but is too syrupy and expensive for regular consumption.

My favorite time of year is before Passover when they sell the two liter bottles with the yellow cap (opposed to the normal red cap). This indicates it is Kosher for Passover and they only make it during this time of year. They basically use regular sugar (true original formula) and have a Rabbi bless the production lines in Chicago and NY, which are the only places they make it. I buy at least 40 bottles a year, chasing the sales at the supermarkets and storing it until it's gone. Otherwise it's 12 packs of cans from whoever has the best sale.

As for Cherry Coke, it's normally too sweet for me. If I am at a Fountain machine at a convenience store, I add a splash of Sprite and a couple splashes of Cherry Coke which is all I need for that Cherry kick.

I don't drink any soda of any kind, only water or unsweet tea, but my wife drinks Diet Pepski and my kids like coke products....

          I like pepsi!!!
Coke is okay as an alternative or mix for wisky.

Spiced rum(capt morgan or sailor jerry) on the other hand must be mixed with Dr. pepper...LOL

This was me up until Jan 16th. I gave up Coke, along with all other sweets, cookies, cakes, etc. and it was the best thing I have ever done. No more sugar crashes, lost a ton of weight, energy level is through the roof, don't need naps after work anymore. The list could go on and on. Give that crap up.

Do you ever suffer from gout, Hec? I switched to Coke Zero several years ago, as I was a cokeaholic and wanted to lose weight. Not only did I NOT lose any weight, but I developed a severe case of gout. The doctor was completely stumped as my uric acid level was perfectly normal. He had no idea what was up. My sister in-law told me to google aspartame toxicity. There are some nasty side effects from aspartame and gout is one of them. I switched back to regular Coke and my gout went away almost immediately. Not only are those artificial sweeteners nasty, but they actually cause your body to retain weight.

I am too. I'll have 4 or 5 cans a day easy. I know they are a big reason I have a gut. I try to offset it with water at work during the day but the soda usually wins. And I HATE tea (sweet or unsweet) but will drink milk at home.

I used to prefer Pepsi over coke. I find everything too sweet these days and maybe have 1 a month. Quit soda ten years ago and just somehow managed to stick to it.

I've recently cut my soda intake WAY back. I drink one every two weeks or so on average. Sometimes I cheat a bit more, but since this spring, that's been my usual intake.

I much prefer Coke though. I never did like Pepsi much. That acidic kick just doesn't do it for me. Too harsh. Coke is smoother. I'm a Dr. Pepper guy mostly though...or I used to be.

I could never drink any diet sodas. Turns my stomach for some reason.

They are, and I know how hard it is to quit drinking them. It took me over ten years of trying till I finally got over the hump. However, if I could show you before and after pictures of me from Jan till now, you would stop drinking them. My before and after pictures would be just like what you see on TV in all the weight loss commercials. I always thought they were bull, but I proved myself wrong.

I like Coke better, but I only drink it once in a blue moon, and really only when I stop at McDonald's. One of my former co-workers is married to a guy who used to be the VP of research at McDonald's and during a business trip about a decade ago, I asked him if McDonald's intentionally altered the formula for Coke in their restaurant. He confirmed that they've modified the concentration of the Coke syrup so that it's different than at other places that serve it from a fountain. So, if you've ever wondered why a Coke tastes better/different at McDonald's than at other restaurants, now you know.

However, I'm more of a diet soda drinker, and prefer Diet Pepsi Max over any of the Diet Coke products. I try to limit myself to one per week, but I've been lazy recently about making iced tea at home and keeping that on hand instead, so it's more like 3-4 per week these days.

I drink Pepsi, too much Pepsi, between five to six cans a day. From what i'm reading on here, thats probably why i'm about 40 pounds overweight. This just happened within the past 2 1/2 years.I think my metabolism has slowed and i dont burn that stuff off like i used too.

One of the first things I was told when I joined the military years ago was not to drink soda's or eat fast food because it made weight requirements harder to maintain.
