Haven't heard it yet, but Paul & Gene are coming to play it live in here next month. Unfortunately, their show will be part of a massive spectacle consisting in another bands like Slayer, and Marilyn Manson, therefore the price of the tickets will be much more than what I was expecting for their concert.
Can't believe they will be playing half hour driving from here and I will not be able to be there!

I hope you're right....i pre-ordered the limited edition Monster picture disc LP....then discovered my turntable is rotating a tad too fast and it sounds wrong; so I get to buy a new one or fix this one.
I did listen to the samples on iTunes....annnd (I find myself saying this a lot) being a KISS fan at heart, nothing popped out and impressed me.
Maybe my tastes are changing...maybe it's my age...I dunno.
I'll still own it....still listen to it...but my gut tells me there aren't any tunes I'm gonna run right out and show my friends.

mkay...listening with my headphones right now at work....and the iTunes Samples did the album no justice.
The tunes are pretty good actually...I'm hearing a lot of familiar vibes....feeling some Carnival of Souls in there I think...

Hell or Hallelujah is probably the best song on the Lp (that I've heard so far)

so, I've had the headphones on most of the afternoon, letting the cd cycle over and over...

Next to Hell or Hallelujah, the song Freak is stuck in my head.

I picked up Monster today and I have to tell you, I was BLOWN AWAY. Without question, this is the best work KISS has done in 30 years. And I haven't been a big supporter of KISS since their last record (Sonic Boom) came out. I hated that record. And I thought Paul Stanley's days as a writer and producer were over. He's not! He delivered the best KISS record he has ever produced. I put it in the company of Rock n Roll Over, Creatures, and Revenge. Just a d*mn good record. I'm stunned. If Sonic Boom could debut at number 2, this has got to be a number 1 record for them. If it does, it's VERY deserving. Well done guys!

I've listened to it a few times now, over and over...getting my ear worms going.
I'm hearing stuff that gives me memories of
                        Rock n Roll Over
                        Love Gun
                        Sonic Boom
                        Carnival of Souls
and even some demo stuff like Bad Bad Lovin'

tracks 1, 3, 5, have my attention thus far.

If you listen to "For the Love of Rock N Roll" it's actually Mr. Speed slowed down.

I saw them sing their new single on GMA the other morning. It sounded like classic Kiss to me. They dont seem to be really showing their age.
