Anybody else notice there's a lot of stiink bugs this season ?

Here in NE Pa we seem to be getting overrun by stink bugs

I talked to a few people in north central Jersey and they're getting overrun too.

Is this just a local N.E.Pa/N.Jersey thing ?

Right now they're looking for winter shelter in homes and garages. The early and warm spring has matured two generations simultaniously, so they are far more numerous. This will be nothing compared to what comes out of the ground and our attics next April...

I didn't think we had stink bugs here, but I googled it, and sure enough I've been seeing these guys since the spring. I don't recall seeing them before. Do these guys turn red and black?

After I read Mikey's post I googled around and found this article about that:

The latest news and headlines from Yahoo News. Get breaking news stories and in-depth coverage with videos and photos.

"In the United States, brown marmorated stink bugs are most prevalent in the Mid-Atlantic states. A recent national survey conducted by Hometeam Pest Defense found that 59 percent of Washington, D.C., homeowners had had problems with the bugs, making the nation's capital their densest urban stronghold. But the invasive species has now spread to 38 states, including California and Oregon, according to USDA-funded research."
