Let's see some Halloween costumes for this year

I practiced the makeup on my daughter's "Zombie Bride" costume. My wife made the costume from a $5 Goodwill find and a $2 bachelorette party vail. The makeup cost more than the costume.

When I started searching the web for costume ideas, I saw a bunch of ****ty girl scout costumes. Uh, I am certainly not built for those. So I got to thinking and I am now working on my Redneck Scout costume. So far, a trip to my local Salvation Army store has gotten me khaki cargo shorts, a sleeveless flannel shirt, and knee socks. I have khaki fabric to make a beanie and a sash. I have round suede patches that I will attach to my sash with fusible webbing. Then I will glue my printed and laminated achievement badges to the patches.

My badges are an over-sized two and a half inches so they fit the suede patches that I already had and so they can be easily read without people having to get mere inches from my chest. I have designed twenty badges including golf cart modding, mud running, woodchuck trapping, bonfire building, cow tipping, duct tape repairs, acetylene cannon building, road kill grilling, carp shooting, bare-handed coyote catching, deer blind building and more. Some don't seem funny until you see the image on the badge.

I hope it all turns out like I have envisioned it.
