Grail of a different sort acquired

Well after a lot of saving and much debate with the wife (I wanted a 1971 model) I brought home this 2012 Challenger R/T. She packs a 5.7 liter 372 HP HEMI - Super Track pack with variable displacement, high performance steering and suspension. . . . lots of fun to drive. This will be a work in progress as I plan to add a hood stripe and other things to make it look at little more retro. Was considering a vinyl top but now that I have it think it would be too much.
anyway just had to share this news . . . .

Would have preferred the 71 (I'm sure you did too)...but that's also a baddarse ride (more comfortable and practical anyway)...I love the old classic lines on the new Challenger...I'm glad you didn't get the Charger (which is now kinda too hip-hopish)...the Challenger screams rock n' roll, baby...

Awesome video Zemo, and yes I plan to make modifications just not sure when . . . I'll probably start with the cosmetic stuff until I have some money again!
Thanks for the nice comments . . . . Hector you were spot on with your "Practical" comment! too funny!

My favorite of the redone muscle cars. Looks so close to the original. Very sweet ride.

Nice ride, and spot on comments by Hec. I strongly prefer the looks of the Challenger over the Charger. As far as practical: ABS, traction control, lots of airbags, etc, etc. I'd feel a lot safer in a 2012 over a '71.
