What happened to all the good chocolate milk?

All I can find anywhere these days is that terrible TruMoo garbage.

Don't drink the Nesquik chocolate milk. It's horrible.

You're better off getting a canister of chocolate milk mix, a glass, a s**** and however much milk you want, then go to town.

That way, you control the amount of chocolate.

Also I really didn't like the taste of chocolate soy milk. It was just weird!!!

I dunno if it's my tastebuds or what, but it didn't really taste like chocolate milk.

Ovaltine chocolate is very good, and I used to love Bosco chocolate syrup.

I really don't like the Hershey's chocolate syrup very much; it has a weird aftertaste to it.

I haven't seen Chocolate Cow in ages, and Yoohoo is only good if it's got a LOT of ice in the glass.

      Now why is the word s p o o n subject to a censor? It's not a dirty word.

I used to love the little boxes of milk that we would get with our school lunches. I could drink that all day.
        It's all good!

YOO HOO is AWESOME!!!!!!!! I think I'll go get one in the fridge right now. Our local Dollar Tree stores sell them so I grab a 3 pack every time I'm in there. Righteous chocolatey goodness in a box.
It's not a doll it's an action figure.

I live in Ohio and where I live at we have Dairymen's. It's one of the better chocolate milks out there. I know our daughter has it in her school. I also think why most chocolate milks aren't that good tasting anymore, is that they are using 1% milk instead of 2% or whole milk like they use to. Dairymen's still uses 2% milk.

I like Hershey's syrup. I love Yoo-Hoo, but no one carries it around here anymore.

There was an off-brand I used to buy from a little independent dairy that tasted like chocolate ice cream. It was incredible...not too sweet and lots of cocoa. Then last year Deans bought up most of those small dairies and switched to their new TruMoo brand. 1% milk with less than 1% cocoa.

Ovaltine is still really good...wish they had pre-made milk in the stores.

I grew up on skim milk and to this day still have it with my cereal. I don't like chocolate milk because it is too thick. Even 2% milk is intolerable after drinking skim for years. And whole milk,....ack, I almost expect to pour a hoof out of the jug.

                      Forget all that.

What you need to do is get two scoops of chocolate ice cream, one banana (frozen works best, and strawberries works too), some vanilla extract, a bit of sugar/honey/agave nectar, and a bit of crushed ice...and blend all that in a Vitamix (or any good strong blender)...pour in tall glass...and sprinkle some powder cinnamon on top...you'll never go back to plain chocolate milk ever again...lol.

Chocolate milk never tastes like chocolate to me. I love chocolate milkshakes - with real chocolate ice cream - not regular grocery store brand ice cream - or at least premium brand ones (in a pinch I'll use Häagen-Dazs). I figure if I'm going to splurge on a treat why go half way and just get the fat and calories without the awesomeness?

At home for a quick treat I'll have some Ovaltine - I like the flavor of the malt.

When I have it these days I make it myself with 2% milk and Quik chocalate syrup.

My kids live on 2% milk and Hershey's syrup. My daughter considers it a food group.

Here in the Chicagoland area, there's a dairy named Oberweis. I've never been a real big fan of chocolate milk, but I'd drink that any day of the week and twice on Sundays. My wife and I used to have it delivered to our house once a week back in the day, but it never lasted more than 2 days. We gave it up entirely before we drank ourselves into a diabetic coma.
