Move to Canada, health care is free, sorta. We pay double the price of Americans for things like gasoline, liquor, and ciggarettes. The extra taxes on everything pays for the health care.

Wow... I'm flabbergasted. That man was VERY selfish. When it comes to the health of you or your loved ones, NOTHING comes before that. Anything in a collection can be collected back. If you don't get a loved one treated for health issues, you can do permanent damage or worse! If I were in his shoes, I wouldn't have given it a moment's pause to consider it. I would be looking at what I could sell that would get me the money the fastest. That's just what you do. Pretty scary he could even make that statement let alone actually follow through and neglect his wife. I feel bad for her. If I were his good friend I would be given him sh*t about it too.
