    A Christmas Story 2 October 30th. Seriously.

Didn't see this coming. On DVD and Blu-Ray October 30

Straight to home video is always a good sign.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Execrable. Jean Sheppard is probably rolling in his grave. You can't catch lightning in a bottle twice: Even "My Summer Story/It Runs in the Family" proved that.
WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.

The best thing to do would've been to have Ralphi be a dad now instead of this immitation Ralphie family.

It won't be the same. And 30 years after the original...please.

Yeah..Raphi as the Dad with his kids right around Beatlemania and before 'Nam really got heavy would have been a better fit than a rehash...which is exactly what this is. Just from the trailer alone they took all the jokes from the original and just redid them with older characters. Rember how funny the bunny suit was...well now it's a sailor suit. Or the old mans battle with the furnace or the time Ralphi went to see Santa...Ug. Wanna make a bet they go to an ethnic eatery for Christmas dinner too...I'll never know cause I won't see this crap. I gotta a coupon in the mail the other day to see Christmas Story on Broadway this year too. It's the movie only live and a whole lot of money for a ticket! No thanks. Give it enough time and everything tries to make a comeback (Spinal Tap, Thundercats, Ninja Turtles, Tron, The Three Stooges...) Sometimes (very rarely) this works but mostly something like this can taint the originals (I'm looking at you Star Wars) I liked it better when Christmas Story was that awesome movie you saw parts of on TV around the holidays but never really watched it from start to finish and couldn't remember the name of it but enjoyed it just the same. Best thing about this movie is it'll be a direct to DVD release and not many will see it so the original will remain somewhat unscathed.

terrible. just terrible. I thought about reporting it as offensive or inappropriate content. To anyone who purchases this (and thus encourages more crap like this from studios) I hope the ghost of Christmas future visits you and shoots your eyes out with a Red Ryder BB gun.

                        Not about to watch it.

I can barely sit through the original, I've seen it so many times.

I enjoy it more in bits and pieces, like the time that Ralphie tried to bribe his teacher with a humongous fruit basket, instead of one measly apple.

It failed, of course; but you gotta give the kid points for chutzpah.

Blasphemous. And they already did "A Summer Story" as has been pointed out. I could be wrong, but I think it was called "A Christmas Story 2" at some point as well.

Of course this looks terrible. But gotta admit that if I was lounging on the couch on a sunday afternoon and this came on cable I'd probably attempt to sit through it! Hahahaha......

I thought I saw a remake of A christmas story a few years ago on tv.......It was horrible of course. It DID have Ralphie in it (whole group of different actors). It may have been " A Summer Story" because I quickly changed it after a few minutes of seeing how crappy it was.

It'll probably be terrible, I only watch the original once a year anyways.
