Yeah, The Keep is a cool movie, and it would be nice if it got a DVD release.
If it ever happens, I hope they include all the film's variant endings and deleted scenes.
The original novel is also worth reading.
And there are a lot of the more obscure 80s sword & sorcery movies that need a DVD release.
I remember renting "Sorceress (1982)" on Betamax... (Not to be confused with the several other movies released since then which have the same title.)

I loved those Sho Kosugi Ninja movies (Enter The Ninja, Revenge of the Ninja, Ninja III The Dominion and Pray For Death)..The first two American Ninja movies. Also a forgotten gem: 1985's The Explorers with River Phoenix and Ethan Hawke.
This is the official trailer for The Explorers:

I admit Dragonslayer isn't as obscure as somthing like Condorman. But it has never achieved the popularity or cult status like other 80s fantasy movies like Dark Crystal, Labyrinth or even Krull.Leave a comment:

^ Can't go wrong with a good alien brain-slug!
River's Edge is another 80's film that should be better known than it is.Leave a comment:
