Saturday morning preview shows

Anyone remember the Saturday morning preview shows that came on the Friday night before the all the new cartoons/live action shows would come on the next day(Saturday). This time of the year, and especially today had me thinking about them, because looking back and gathering facts and dates from the past, I realized that the preview shows would come on the week after labor day, and mostly came on that Friday night So, tonight would be the night they would come on, and tomorrow would be the new start of the new Fall Saturday lineup. As a kid back then, I lived for that.

I also have an NBC preview w/ Jimmy Osmond and Johnny Whitaker promoting Star Trek Cartoon, Emergency cartoon and Sigmund & The Sea Monsters.

I also remember one of my faves w/ Fi and Fum from the Lost Saucer talking the ABC line-up that year.

Us '80s kids use to look forward to those previews to. The new cartoon season was always exciting.

I remember the Saturday morning preview shows. My sister and I would always beg our parents to watch it to see if our favorite cartoons were returning and which new ones were coming.

I was surprised when ABC ran The Chew's fall season preview this week. I was hoping that they would do one for Saturday mornings but I can't remember the last time I watched any of the major networks on Saturday mornings. I usually have to work Saturday mornings anyway so I'm missing that cartoon ritual.
