I have to admit I'm a little irked about the "online exclusive" Superman the Movie figures being sold at a discount store for $29.99. I paid full price for all three on them from Matty. On a positive side I am happy for for the people getting a deal on them. It does reinforce that I made the right decision not resubbing to MOTC though.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

I haven't found anything yet. I am torn between being irritated that I chased some of this stuff on Matty vs. having another crack at it.

Kind of thankful no such store exists here, I wouldn't be able to resist $30 Superman the movie toys.

Ouch. That hurt my wallet, since I paid full price for the three Supermen. Good for you guys, though.

Just a thought, do you think its possible that Mattel scrapped (so to speak) all of their DC product due to the new, redesigned look of the characters that DC has made?

              Gawd, I hope not.

There are several new products from other manufacturers coming out with the classic look of the characters, so I don't think so.

Nah, if I had to guess it has more to do with getting inventory out of their warehouses before inventory and taxes. The movie masters follow the film costuming, so it doesn't really matter...ditto the young justice & super Friends.

Just irksome because they act like this stuff is so rare & limited, and then you see 60 GL sets on the shelf per store. I counted 36 each of the 12" Super figures. no shortage. Why they don't run 50% sales online I dunno. Poor planning on their part, but maybe they'll learn that their business model for Matty Collector sucks. Not that I'm complaining on the prices being low, I love it, it's just I'd hate to see future lines dropped because they screwed the pooch on this lot.

That said, Ollies will run 25% off all toys a couple times in the next months , so I'll try & wait them out.

To see that many Greene arrows on the shelf like that ought to be illegal. Sersly. It was an exclusive and then sold out...came back for a little while..then sold out again.
The demand was greater than supply....causing prices to soar to $70-some bucks at times for him....now, now look...$12 at a second rate store....you cannot tell me some fat cat exec isn't laughing in his $10,000 Italian suit.....

There's some DC stuff in the store on 161, but no GA. It's piled on one of the long rows of shelves near the front of the store.

Thanks Duncan. I called the scary one on South High earlier and asked if they had the stuff from the flier, and the clerk told me they were just unloading the truck that minute. I made it there from campus in twenty minutes.....no retros:-( My kids cleaned-up though, I grabbed a couple different JLU 3-packs, a 3-pack of the 2" GL figures that I hadn't seen before, and a lone set of Superfriends DVDs. They had tons of the big Superman line, some peg warmer DC Classic guy whose name I forget, and a lot of GL stuff.

There ad reminds me of the old "Sand Salvage" ads out here on Long Island. They used to be a discount warehouse some 20 + years ago.

We have been to a total of 6 Ollies in this search. Only found Green Arrows at 2 , missed out on Green Lanterns at another. The rest have been a hit and miss of the 12 " figures and the smaller figures.
I repeat Green Lanterns were at the one in Oak Villlage a day before we were there!
