    Old Photo's Question..

I have a question for everyone. Do you ever find it hard to look at old pic's of you and your family when you were young? Even your teen years?
Don't get me wrong I LOVE that time period (wouldn't be on this site if I didn't), maybe that's why its hard to look at them. Looking at pics of my grandparents and relatives that are no longer with us can be difficult at times.
About 5 years ago when my grandmother passed away my mom got all her pic's. She took so many pics of my childhood and some I never knew she took! It seems every time I look in the pile of pics I find a new one.
But yea it wasn't until recent years I started feeling this way. Anyone else?

I find it really hard considering most of my family from growing up have all passed away.

Looking at old pictures just depresses me --- sometimes to a point I wish I was with them

i love looking at old photos. yes, seeing loved ones who are no longer with us is sad and sometimes brings a tear to my eye, especially my dad who we lost last year. but the photos represent happy times with those same loved ones and I cherish the memories

I love looking at old photos. Sometimes I wish I could just transport myself back to that time, as I am now, just to check things out. I find myself obsessed with the mundane little details in old photos. I rarely get upset about the people in them that have left us, because the photos remind me of the good times we had when they were around.

We have a wall in our dining room dedicated to family on both sides. Some going back 4 generations from me or my wife. All black and white photos. One of my favorites is a pic of my Grandfather taken as a boy in a family portrait. It shows him, my Great Aunt, my Great Uncle and my Great-Grandparents. I love looking at them even though 90% of them are gone. I feel it keeps them close and their memories alive.
