Yes that is... Here's a quick link on the confederate flag and it's history. It's hard to argue it was CREATED as a symbol of racism.

This makes me sad. I grew up watching the show and as a kid I had NO idea that the flag had any kind of negative meaning behind it. Since the Duke Boys do so much good for the people of Hazzard County, doesn't it stand to reason that anything negative could be redeemed by them?

Good points! Unfortunately this country does not encourage healing. It's all about divisive platforms. Small groups of people with an axe to grind. To me it's simple - If you want respect, you give respect. These groups stand up and demand respect like it's a birth right, then turn the other cheek when it's their turn. Hypocrites to the end. I ignore them and move on. Hopefully society will figure that out. Warner Bros. sure hasn't. That was a stupid move. They just shuddered a license that has made them tons of money. Exactly how many folks from this complaining demographic actually watch the Dukes of Hazzard? Exactly.

If the flag garners THAT much angst, then why even call it the "General Lee"? I mean if we're going to only view history one way, then don't we have to roll him under the bus to make these activists happy too? I'm sure they wouldn't mind it if they sprayed the car white and called it the Cracker mobile. Of course we would have to take that...right? It's only about what offends them, right? U Guys think thats bad, here in the Uk, U cant even fly the "union jack" outside your house, just in case U might offend the ethnic minorities , and its kinda looked on as racist, and would be asked to take the flag down by the police. Can U imagine if U Guys werent allowed to fly your flag, and I know U love too.

You know what, who CARES if some people are offended by it. Freedom of speech includes the right to offend. I'm pretty sure England was offended 200+ years ago when we told the King to get bent. Looking at your car jacsfc, for me the flag has nothing to do with it. It is just but one of the features that makes the General Lee one of the baddest ***** cars of all time. For me it's the General Lee and the 66 batmobile that hold the fondest of memories.
