I did get a letter from Tomy. It is true the flag is gone. The stuff with the flag is on discount. WOW !! -
I dunno,
Like I said, I always try to look at things from all points of view.
Most people that complain about things being too PC are usually on the majority side.
Forgive me, but I love a good debate and always grab the underdog position

You're so naieve Scott. If it's posted on the internet, it must be true. That's the rule. That's barely an article. Just because someone typed it doesn't make it journalism. It quotes one source and that source is quoting the un-named toy dude on a hobby website. None of these articles say "According to Warner Bros" or even "Warner Bros declined comment". Nobody is checking this thing out, they are just getting all riled up about this terrible PC world run amuck...I call BS.Leave a comment:

Wow, what a shock. No, not really. So I spent a few minutes looking around on Google news for the source of this story (which leads to a charming tour of various racist websites, ugh....)
Anyhoo...
A few products from the official WB online store.
Die cast General Lee Car
The flag is still there.
Bo and Luke promo photo. Nice shot of the flag.

That's friggin' sweet, man...that one would be a keeper for me...no doubt.I bought the car in 1993. It was a rusty beaten pos. i restored it in 1996. I replaced the floors, trunk, quarter panels etc. it is a numbers matching r/t with 440ci engine. In 2005 before the movie came out my wife gave me the green light to change it into the general lee for the movie premiere here in Omaha. I will probably keep i this way for a few more years then either sell it or restore back to original.
I'm restoring a 64 1/2 Mustang coupe myself...not going too original though...it's going to be a little bit of a restomod.
Thanks for the picture...what a beauty!Leave a comment:

If that's true, you've basically just made a case for why it's perfectly fine to remove the flag. If nobody cares about the flag and no one watched it for the flag, they no one should care if it's removed.
It's probably BS. The whole thing doesn't make any sense to begin with.So I spent a few minutes looking around on Google news for the source of this story (which leads to a charming tour of various racist websites, ugh....) There's been no official announcement fromWarner Bros about this, the whole thing seems to be traceable to a post on HobbyTalk where some dude claims a rep told him this.
It could be true, but it could also be total internet BS.Leave a comment:

Did you buy it like that...or did you buy an ordinary Charger...and worked your magic on it?
