Well i was selling my hasbro wrestling figures and i was selling the rare green carded figures first as individual figures. So this buyer uses buy it now to buy one of them at $31.99, and pays me right away. So i get the email from ebay with the buyers information, i write it down and get ready to pack it up. So i always go to paypal itself to match up the address. Well the email i get from ebay says the guys name is Carlos and his address in in New York City. Well i look at paypal and it says the payment is from the same guy but the shipping address is a manuel from Miami. To me as a seller, that throws up a ton of red flags. Did this person rip off the other guys information. Miami is a few miles from New York. So i emailed the buyer and told them of the problem and i needed them to clear this up. That was when i received a very snippy email back saying it is not complex and that is the address he wants it shipped to.
So i emailed ebay about this problem as i do believe this is against policy and could come back and bite me in the backside in the long run. Do i just refund his money now, or wait till i hear back from ebay on the matter. I have been on ebay for 15 years and this just seems like it is against ebay rules. Maybe if he emailed me prior and said who he was and that he would like to have the item shipped to the other address and if that was ok, before he bought it, i would be less inclined to think something was fishy. He has good feedback and recent feedback. I just can't help but think this guy is pulling something fishy. I can even understand if he told me his friend also uses his paypal account cause he doesn't have a credit card, but his lack of a real answer also makes me wonder. I think i will just wait to see what ebay says. They are looking into it and will be able to see all the details as well as if there has been any recent changes to both accounts. What do you guys think?
