Lance Armstrong a cheater? I just got into it with my Bro in law

I'm sure many of you have read he will be stripped of all 7 titles and banned for life...He's not fighting the charges..OF COURSE HE'S GUILTY!! HELLO!!!!! if you're not guilty you fight it till the end!! I called him a cheater and my brother in law , sister and his Dad get mad..They said he's not and even if he did dope he still won it 7 times and he's not a cheater...I'm like W T F?? are you kidding me? these are the first people talking crap about A-Rod when he admitted to taking it and called the UM players (who took stuff like dinners), Ohio state players (who traded their jersey for tattoos), and Reggie Bush who got stripped of his Heisman (for taking rent money for his family) THUGS!! freakin Hypocrites

The guys was an amazing athlete and a cancer survivor so people don't want to believe it and give him a free pass..F that! If he doesn't fight it it's for a reason...Now he's a cheater and a druggy to me..I'd have more respect if he'd at least admit..and don't give me that bullcrap about he's beaten down and just doesn't have enough in him to fight it anymore...If you can beat cancer and "win 7 tour de France's" you can fight these allegations

Sorry for the rant, I'd love to hear what you guys think

That seems like it should be right but I bet a lawyer who knows the law would argue against it ... That's why they have no contest.

    Just thinking out loud

What I don't understand is how the USADA (key part being US) can strip him of his Tour de France (key part being France) titles or Olympic medals? They have zero authority in these forums IMO. What am I missing?

When just about every other major cyclist has been busted and he beat them all and many of his teammates (some very reluctantly) have said that they know he did it, it seems ridiculous to think he did not.

Lance doped. The cycling community has known this for a long time now. But Americans like their Livestrong bracelets (and don't care at all about cycling) so they've mostly ignored the truth of the matter. This may be a wakeup call for a lot of people... but he definitely is getting what he deserves.

Oh, I agree with that. When everyone else (including his teammates) have been busted for it, and it's pretty much accepted that every major cyclist dopes, then how can it be that he didn't? Anyone who thinks otherwise is naive. But my opinion is still this: (1) if everyone's doping (cheating), then is it really cheating? He still beat all those other dopers; and (2) regardless of whether we believe he did it or not, he never got caught. After hundreds of tests, he still hasn't tested positive.

Lets face it. it is time to clean up all sports if they are going to keep stripping players of their awards and titles

Professional Bodybuilding and Wrestling- Two sports with obvious signs of drug use. Many deaths have become of Wrestlers/Bodybuilders later in their lives due to Anabolic Steroid use.

They are coming down hard on Lance Armstrong to make a point. why not make a point with all athletes and keep the standards the same for all sports.

I don't blame Lance for walking away. He's beaten cancer and many other hurdles so why deal with all this crap anymore.

I am a firm believer and supporter of PED's when not abused, but stand up and admit it. Own up to what you did and move forward.

Awards, Titles, etc don't make you the person you are, but your integrity does.

People don't want to hear that sometimes good guys do cheat...the lure of making big money sometimes clouds good judgement. if he did it, then he should pay the penalties for cheating.....

This is my take. We all know he did. He knows he did. But he did it in a sport where EVERYONE dopes. Cycling is the most notorious sport for doping. They all do it. They all find ways to get around the tests. If every person in cycling were honest, they would all admit they dope. So...if everyone he was competing against was doping, and he was doping, they all had a pretty level playing field.

Since he won 7 times (more than anyone else)....that makes him the DOPEST OF THE DOPES.

True, now here's the catch will everyone admit to doping?..I seriously doubt it because then you are branded a cheater and you don't want to lose those endorsement deals....because the last thing a company wants to hear is...Lance Armstrong is a cheater? I will not eat wheaties because he cheats and they endorse cheaters....
