I don't mind sharing with you guys on here, but I would never let some dealer into my house. I don't want people knowing where I live and what I have. It's just asking for trouble.

I'm not defending the guy either, but i talked to john, the brother of the girl christy from bryson city, and the transformer was not planted. He did however look before the cameras ran. He also told me there was no script per say. He looked through the house first and then stuff he thought would work, they covered when the camera ran.

Wow, lots of hate for this show. I think it's pretty harmless, and at least the collectors aren't completely ridiculed. It's neat to see the stuff on TV. I liked hearing the word "Mego" in the Cher segment. And when's the last time you saw an AHI Mummy on TV?

The hot (but kind of trampy) redhead was definitely a rip-off of American Pickers, and shows that the show came under the usual network retooling that all shows do between pilot and production.

I remember hearing of Bumblejumper from a Lee's magazine years ago. When he pulled it out, I told Cindy "It's a Bumblejumper". Not really sure if the story they told was correct, but I had heard of him before.

I enjoyed the show. It's a fun half hour of looking at old toys. Although I do think he should broaden his focus to 60s stuff. Seemed odd that he just dismissed those older items (except for Arnold Palmer?!?).

His prices are all reasonable in my opinion, but another way I see this having a negative effect is this.

I spoke to many people who have been bidding on storage units for years. All of them said that after the shows, the number of people have tripled and in return, so have the prices of the units.

So there will most likely be a lot of people on line at those estate sales now adding "80s toys" to the list of stuff they're after and more early birds at the yard sales to compete with.

Hey, his ginger-haired assistant is pretty hot! She's likely the only reason i'll watch the show!
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

The strippers union is reportedly very concerned - they keep losing members to reality "picking" shows
