Is David Cassidy available? ;p I met Peter Tork years ago at a convention. He was one of the few celebrities I met that rubbed me the wrong way so I have to say: "PASSSS!!!!"

If a Mego figure of God did not exist, it would be necessary for EMCE to invent him.

Pete's kinda the bland one....Davey got all the girls, Micky was the funny one and the other good singer, Mike wore the hat and sung cool country style songs and Peter...errr ummm ummmm yeah him....

Peter was portrayed as the dumb one. I'm sure he wasn't really dumb, but his character on the show was dumb.

It is sad that Nesmith waited too late. I know he did play with them on occasion, but now it's too late.

Just thought of something, I think Tommy Boyce has been performing with the Monkee's for almost 40 years now ... Maybe he might do Davys songs (or him and Mickey together)

I recall Davy saying, in print somewhere, that Nesmith bailed because the critics came down hard on him and the band and Nesmith let it get to him. The critics will always douse them with insults. It's time to get past it. So maybe he didn't appreciate Davy being so candid in the interview. I also heard Nesmith can't do the proper guitar riff for Last Train To Clarksville anymore because he's too old and out of practice.

Davey didn't sing as many songs as Micky did; Micky sang the majority of them. Mike also had quite a few and even Peter tried to sing. Between the three of them they will have plenty to choose from.

They won't be doing Daydream Believer, Valleri, A Little Bit Me but can do Last Train to Clarksville, I'm a Believer, Pleasent Valley Sunday, Steppin' Stone, Randy Scouce Git, Listen to the Band, Mary Mary, You Just Might Be The One, She, The Monkees theme song ... And many more.

Funny you should mention that, b/c David knew Davy and did some of his songs in concert in tribute to his friend. *sniff*

And I like Peter! Davy and Peter were always my favorites!

That's just so sad that those songs can never be sung live again! I miss you, Davy!

Tommy Boyce commited suicide on Thanksgiving day 1994. Bobby Hart is still alive, though.

Oh I care...I'll be at three of the twelve shows. I will miss Davy, but to see Nesmith with the band is just too much to pass up!

To me...Davey was the heart and soul of the Monkees....and Nesmith told him to F off while he was alive.

Because of that...you couldn't pay me to see the Monkees...thanks Mr Nesmith.

This would be a great time for EMCE to make official Monkees action figures. The Monkees in their red outfits, in their Monkee-Men superhero outfits...just sayin`!
