Olympic boxing...

...is unbearable to watch, and this is coming from a huge boxing fan.

The judging is a joke, the refs are a joke, the rules are a joke, and the actual boxing is a snorefest thanks to all those things.

Far gone are the days days of real fighting and multiple Gold wins for the USA...now..i don't think a single American boxer is going to win even a bronze in 12 different weight categories, and it's not their fault, many were robbed...the entire system is corrupted.

Either radically change the entire event, or get rid of it altogether.

Zero medals for the Americans...sad really. We had a guy here in the Seattle area who made the '80 and '84 teams and was the only American not to medal in '84. That was the team with Pernell Whitaker etc. those were the days. Now it is a joke. Did you see the Armenian who was knocked down 7 times in the 3rd round but still won?! They reversed the decision....rumor is the Armenians had bribed judges recently to pay for wins.

Yeah, I saw the one with that Armenian, what a joke, yes, they reversed the decision, but still a joke.

You know, the men might not have won anything...but a female boxer did (first year ever women's boxing in the Olympics)...she won Gold...awesome...

Yeah, one of the British female boxers won gold yesterday, too... decisively beating the world number one, China's Ren Cancan.
