Hey Chuck/Megocrazy! Tappan-Zee toll will go up to $14!

Chuck used to joke NYC charged a toll even if you look at a bridge when we used to drive to Mego Meet. I guess they heard you bud. They're going to raise the Tappan-Zee to $14 from $5 to pay for a new bridge:

Larry Schwartz, a top aide to Gov. Andrew Cuomo, gave the estimate at a public meeting in Ramapo on Thursday. The new price is nearly three times the current toll cost of $5.

That's going to hurt the senior Foxwoods bingo crowd who go up to Connecticut every week.

Really? Don't they take a charter bus? The bus doesn't pay toll for every passenger does it?

Now it really is cheaper to fly over the Hudson River than drive. It's almost like they want to entrap us in New England. Funny I was actually at Foxwoods this morning. Glad I live on this side. I paid off my airfare and hotel for MM 2013. I would love to see how they justify the numbers. If they had used the money from the tolls they have already collected they would have plenty to build a new bridge without an increase. But the government doesn't have the ability to allocate funds they rob Peter to pay Paul and then they have no way to do what needs to be done. You see it all the time. Businesses tap money they shouldn't from misbudgeting or over extending etc. The bridge itself generates more than enough money to build another. They use it as a revenue stream and it can't support the system. The question is should it have to? If they had planned the new bridge from the first day a car went over it, the money for a new bridge would have been ready years ago. Money management is so important but so few businesses can do it.
It's not a doll it's an action figure.
