Bloomberg apparently has stopped all serious crime and is concentrating on "quality of life" issues. He skipped submitting the ban to the city council because he knew it wouldn't pass. Also if he was serious why didn't he push for more exercise and nutrition programs in schools. He shouldn't have been allowed to get a 3rd term. This is total stupidity.
I agree Soda is a huge problem for the epidemic of obesity in the nation today, but as stated above, What stops someone from feeling up there 8oz cup a few times or going down the road and buying fast food.
Making things illegal will make people want it even more!
Portion control and moderation is the key to fixing the obesity rate. Portions anymore are outrageous!
And it is the responsibility of adults to understand their limits and what they are feeding themselves.
It's good to know New York City has absolutely no problems and the mayor can concern himself with great issues like this.
