    Big Trouble In Little Tokyo

My buddy and I decided it was time for a trip to Little Tokyo. Had to pay homage to Blade Runner by driving through the 2nd Street Tunnel.

Kept on 2nd St. 'till we hit San Pedro; we were then at our destination.

For any of you So. Cal. knuckleheads that are into Japanese toys, I strongly recommend a trip to Little Tokyo's Anime Jungle.

Unfortunately, they don't allow pics to be taken inside the store, but they have an amazing collection of vintage and modern Japanese toys and movies. They include models, statues, chogokins, vinyls, DVD's and clothing.

Picked up a Sci-fi Revoltech Giant Robo. Took him across the street to grab some lunch at Daikokuya.

Daikokuya happens to be next door to Anime Jungle's sister store. They mostly deal in clothing (some naughty ) and DVD's.

Had one of the best noodle dishes I've ever had, followed by some killer fried rice. Giant Robo insisted on coming out in order to give props to the food.

There was a delicious soft boiled egg in the middle of the noodle dish which almost caused Giant Robo to go rogue. I calmed him down in time to enjoy this tasty meal without any chaos.

Can't wait for my next visit to this L.A. gem.

    Neat!

I wonder if that store is affiliated with the Jungle shop in Japan.

I don't know Giant Robo, but he looks awesome! Is he articulated with ball joints? I googled him, and it looks like his fingers bend too - are they flexible rubber with a wire inside - or something else?

The soup is making me hungry too!

Thanks Brazoo. Revoltech uses the same ball joint system in all their figures (at least the ones I own), which allows for amazing poses. They all come with interchangeable hands.

When it comes to Giant Robo figures, Revoltech's is nice, but Soft Garage is the way to go.
