Why sometimes it's better to look the other way & not get involved

Anybody who hits a girl should have his *** kicked, Period. If she goes back 100 times and gets hit, the *** should get kicked 100 times. Eventually, one of them will get tired of getting beat up. You did the right thing. -
Unless I see kids involved, I mind my business. You let your man beat on you and you don't leave? you both have issues. Kids are innocent and deserve better.....Leave a comment:

I think you made the right choice. Maybe she didn't leave now, but maybe you gave her something to think about - there are people who are willing to try and help. Who knows.
At the very least you won't be up at night cursing yourself for not doing anything.Leave a comment:

I'm proud of you D but I have to agree with Hector too. This crazy world where honor is taboo and get YOU in trouble is too much of a risk to take. Especially considering you have a family.
Still I applaud you for your bravery and integrity. You are a good man sir.Leave a comment:

The worst part is there are plenty of people out there that would have looked the other way and not given it another thought. Back in my younger wilder years i had my share of fights where some dude hit a woman. It is one of my biggest peeves for sure.Leave a comment:

Don't ever get involved in a domestic squabble.
I bet you my Mustang that had you startef punching that loser, she would've jumped your arse.
It happened to me twice yesrs ago, and I'm sorry, never again, that's their bloody problem, not mine.Leave a comment:

You're a good guy, D, you did the right thing. If you hadn't at least tried to help out, you would've felt like crap later wondering about what might have happened. This way, at least you know you did all that you could.Leave a comment:

You did the right thing. I've found myself in a similar situation. Once saw a man wailing on a woman on the side of the road. Had her up against their car, just beating the life out of her. I was 17 and wanted to stop, but my future in-laws thought better of it. We did make it to a pay phone (before cell phones) called the cops, and by the time we drove back, they had THAT guy up on the car cuffing him.
But she probably bailed him out the next day. But still it's the right thing to do.

Your the better person for atleast making the effort, maybe someday it'll be to much for her a she will get out, and the help she needs.
But in the mean while this is for you and what you must have been thinking
