Star Trek The Nest Generation blu ray season one

I know season one is full of clunkers and (at least to me, in retrospect) is annoyingly PC but the response to the sales of this first season of HD remasters will determine the viability of future season releases and future Star Trek series releases. For those that don't know, making this series into true HD is a minor (and costly and laborious) miracle in itself.

When CBS first announced in September of last year that they were planning a full high-definition remastering of the iconic Star Trek: The Next Generation, the news was met with rapturous applause…

I'm really torn on getting it. I want to support it, but Paramount is notorious for overpricing Star Trek seasons. But you're right, making this in to HD had to be really hard to do. I wish they did like 3 seasons at a time. The show takes off with Season 3 I think. I'd be happy to spend the cash on 3-7.

Last Saturday they had 2 episodes and a behind the scenes featurette at the local movie theater but I forgot to go. Would have been interesting to see it on big screen if the quality is that good.

My theater is showing it Monday. DataLore and Where No One Has Gone Before. I'm going to see it. Maybe that will influence my decision. It's cheap on Amazon.ca so I might order from there. Well, not cheap, but not $120 either. It's funny that I can get a season of Mad Men for $15 but it's over $100 for TNG. Given the work involved in restoring the show, I guess I understand.
