Need movie help, please

I was discussing cars with my soon-to-be-driving niece and we got on the topic of chick cars. She, like her auntie, will never drive a chick car. Anyway, I remember seeing a movie once where a male character buys his dream car, a Volkswagen I think, and gets mocked because it is a chick car. I just cannot link the scene to a movie. Anyone know?
