How Lucky are you?

Apart from family and health, how lucky do you consider yourself to be?
I'm the type of guy that leaves early to catch the bus...discover its left far ealrlier...wait until it's obvious the next bus is running late...decide to start walking....only to have the bus pass me between stops.
This is proberly why i'll never possess mego cards 1, 2 and 3....

I got lucky in high school once!

I am really lucky when it comes to treasure hunting.

I won the lottery of jobs when I got this job I am at now last year. 2000+ people applied, they hired 20.

The house I am looking to buy, we got lucky and stumbled on to it.

I seem to be lucky finding parking spaces when I really need it. I usually have recite my mantra "Hail Mary full of grace, help me find a parking space" and sure enough, I find a good parking space.

Sunday, we put in an offer for a house to purchase . They seller returned a counter-offer on Monday, and we counter-offer again, and he takes it. The same day he accepts our offer, the school board of the parish (county) we are moving to, re-districts the school boundaries and reduces the size of the district of the three schools (Elem., Middle, High) everyone whats their kids to attend. Our house still falls in this school district, but many more upper-middle subdivisions that were built for this district will be bussed across the parish. My realtor said the seller of my house could easily ask $20,000 more than what he had listed for three days ago. We got him to come off the price $12,000. She said we could flip this house and make $40,000 in a month (we are not going to do it of course).

Now, that is pure luck.

I don't consider myself lucky but blessed. My family is in good health, I have a good job, a nice home, nice family, etc.

As far as random luck, my wife seems to win more often than she should just by pure odds. She seems to always win raffles, drawings, etc. even though she doesn't enter many of them. Once in a blue moon, she'll purchase a scratch off lottery ticket just for fun and she has won more than she has lost which has already beaten the odds in and of itself...nothing big but she definitely seems to have a golden touch.

We were lucky enough to purchase our house before the housing market took off. We bought our house 10 years ago and it was basically the most we could afford at the time. Now, I couldn't even afford to buy the house from myself. Since we purchased a new home, I think we lucked out on our lot. It is in a cul-de-sac which there are very few of in the neighborhood. When we initially bought the house, our lot had a deposit and contingency contract on it. As we took a look at the available lots, I actually preferred the lot next to ours which also had a contingency contract on it. We had already sold our townhome so we didn't have any contingencies and put an offer on our preferred lot. The buyer responded by taking the contingency off the lot and taking the risk that their house would sell in time so we then placed on offer on the lot next to it which also had a contingency. That buyer was not in a position to take the contingency out so we ended up with the lot and now that the homes are all built, I actually prefer our lot to the one we initially wanted.
