    Vote For My Sister!!!!

    My sister is up for "The Enterprising Woman of the Year 2007 Award." She has turned a part time hobby from her house to a full time, dual location (including historic Magazine St in New Orleans) business that allowed her to quit a full time well paying RN job and become a major designer in the Northshore area. Her name is Jennifer Cherry. The article below does not mention New Orleans because her business exploded after this write up, expanding her business ten-fold. You just need to register and go to "Current Issue", you will find the vote there:

    Sophisticated Woman Magazine - The Northshore's Guide to the Best

    Her front cover write up back in June:

    Sophisticated Woman Magazine - The Northshore's Guide to the Best

    On a side note, she hires me to hang some of her curtains for her from time to time when she has customers here in Baton Rouge. I make about $500 in three to four hours of work!!!!

            Thanks for the votes!!!

            On a side note;

            I don't know if you know how expensive window treatments like hers cost, but the usual price for a full house is around $8000 - $10,000. For a house warming present, she did my house five years ago for the cost of material. It cost me almost $1000 for one full window, three valances (small curtain thingys just over the top of the window), and a small roman shade for the front door.

            Her most famous clients so far are Will Clark and James Carville.

                Yes, he actually lives about four miles from me.

                One other "famous" person she did work for was Coach Dooley. Only people in Georgia and LSU may only know who he is. His wife was my wife's OB-GYN when we had our first daughter. He was coaching for LSU at the time and Maddy was born five days before LSU won the NC in 2003. She couldn't even give me tickets to the game (even after I paid her ALOT of money).

                    Sophisticated Man = Some one who removes the dishes before he "wee-wees" in the sink!!!

                    Which would you rather be?

                          I don't find it crude, just a modern day compliment; now telling some one their 16 year old daughter is "HOT!!!" is crude!!! (especially if you are over18 years old)

                          "Dude, I saw your daughter at my daughter's recital, man, is she hot!!!"

                          Now if your friend's mom is hot, you are treading thin ice by saying she is hot!!!
